Legend of lavender
LEGEND OF LAVENDER
The story goes, that once lived a girl who was so beautiful that she took the breath of anyone lucky enough to set eyes on her. She left many young men speechless and in love. Unfortunately, among them were two robbers. Since she did not accept their courtship, they decided to impose their love...

One day they decided to try. The unfortunate girl ran to the hills. However, the robbers came after her and managed to pull her to the griound. They ripped the clothes from her body, leaving the girl naked. She tried to cover herself and turned to the earth and wept bitterly. Suddenly, the ground where her tears poured opened and blue-purple flowers started sprouting. The stalks of the plants sprouted around her body covering her nakedness. Surprised, the bandits were scared and ran away ...
From Avinjona to Nice, the way leads through the intoxicating lavender fields with the wind vibrating through the purple stem attracting buzzing bees. Provence is a region where for centuries the lavender has grown successfully. Even the ancient Egyptians appreciated the smell of lavender. At the time of Julius Caesar and the Romans they used the flowers to scent their bathes along with myrrh.
The name comes from the latin word: Lavar, which means "to wash". There are many stories throughout history have confirmed the beneficial effect of lavender.
Lavender flowers (fresh or dried) emitt a strong, aromatic smell, especially when crushed between your fingers. To relax, rub the flowers between your fingers and inhale the slowly and deeply.
